They hope that by caring for plants, you build a more personal connection to the natural world and create a sense of retreat from the urban setting indoors and outdoors.

There are numerous Sweetgreen restaurant locations across Arlington. Sweetgreen’s primary mission is to build healthier communities by connecting people to real food. They hope to lead a movement to reimagine fast food for a new generation of consumers. They have created a culture centered on protecting and storing the environment. They have a recycling center at every location that collects cell phones & tablets, batteries, compost, eyeglasses, shoes, and oyster shells. In addition to their core recycling values, they also utilize solar panels in most store locations to help reduce 40% of each store’s needs.
5. FRESHFARM Farmer’s market
Arlington Farmers Market is open for the season at 901 N Taylor St, Arlington, VA 22203. They’re open every Saturday 8-12 pm. FRESHFARM Farmer’s market is also producers-only. This means everyone selling their products grows or makes what they sell themselves. This market feature farmers and producers from across the Mid-Atlantic, with farms and businesses located within 200 miles of Washington, DC. They are one of the largest markets in the region and a weekly celebration of local food.
